Why an iPhone needs an iPhone specialist
An iPhone isn't like other phones to repair. Apple pairs almost every component to your specific device — the screen talks to True Tone, the battery talks to the power management chip, Face ID talks to a sealed sensor array under the notch. Swap a part carelessly and you don't just fix one problem, you create three new ones: a screen with the wrong colour tone, a battery that reports the wrong charge percentage, a Face ID that stops recognising you at all.
That's the gap between a phone shop that "does iPhones too" and one that actually understands them. At Jio Electronics, iPhone repair has been part of the business since we opened in 2010 — long enough to have handled nearly every generation Apple has shipped, from the iPhone 6 through the current lineup. We're ISO 9001:2015 certified, which means our repair process is documented and audited, not improvised on the bench.

Common iPhone issues, explained
The real cause of a fault is rarely the obvious one. Here's how we actually diagnose the six most common problems we see.
A dropped iPhone almost always cracks glass before it damages the display underneath — but not always. If touch response is patchy, colours look off, or there's dark shadowing near the crack, the digitizer or OLED panel may be affected too, not just the glass. We test touch sensitivity and display uniformity before quoting, so you're not paying for a glass-only fix when the panel needs replacing.
iPhone batteries degrade in a predictable curve — you'll notice it first as the phone dying faster than it used to, then as sudden shutdowns at 20–30% charge. A swollen battery is different and urgent: if the back glass looks like it's lifting or the screen is bulging slightly at the edges, stop using the phone and bring it in. Lithium-ion batteries under pressure are a fire risk, and we handle swollen batteries with dedicated tools, not a standard toolkit.
Before we assume the port is broken, we check three things: lint or debris packed into the port (the most common cause), the charging cable itself, and the small charging IC on the logic board. Replacing a port when the actual fault is a damaged IC won't fix the problem — it'll just cost you twice. Our diagnosis isolates which of the three it actually is.
A blurry photo is often just a cracked or dirty lens cover, fixable in minutes. A black camera screen or a shutter that won't open usually points to the camera module itself, or occasionally a loose ribbon cable after a drop. iPhone camera modules are calibrated to the specific unit at the factory, so we match parts to your exact model number, not just the model name.
The first hour after water exposure decides more than anything we do afterward. Corrosion starts fast, especially with saltwater or sugary liquids, and it spreads along the logic board while the phone is still powered on. We open the device, isolate the battery immediately, and clean the board under inspection before attempting a power-on test — never the other way around.
Face ID relies on a sealed module — the TrueDepth camera, dot projector, and infrared camera all paired to the logic board during manufacturing. If a previous repair (even elsewhere) disturbed this module, or if the front camera assembly was swapped without proper calibration, Face ID can fail even though everything else on the phone works fine. This is one of the more delicate repairs we do, and it's also where a lot of budget repair shops quietly give up and tell you it's "not fixable" — often it is, just not with generic tools.

Transparent quote
You get a price before any work starts. No repair begins without your sign-off.
Repair
Done using genuine or OEM-grade parts matched to your exact model.
Quality check
Touch, display calibration, battery health, camera focus, and Face ID (where relevant) all tested.
Handover with warranty
You leave with your phone, a receipt, and a stated warranty on the part replaced.
Parts quality & calibration
Not all replacement parts are equal, and we'd rather explain the difference than let you assume.
Made by Apple's actual suppliers
Functionally identical to what shipped in your phone. The gold standard where stock allows.
Built to match OEM specs closely
A common, reasonable choice for older or discontinued models where genuine stock is scarce.
The cheapest option available — we don't stock it
Often the source of colour mismatch, poor touch response, or early failure.
True Tone recalibration
For every screen replacement, we run True Tone recalibration so the display keeps adjusting colour temperature to ambient light the way it did from the factory — a step some shops skip to save time.
Battery IC matching
For battery replacements, we match the protection IC to your specific model so the phone reports accurate charge percentage and doesn't throw false "service" warnings in Settings.

iPhone water damage — do's and don'ts
The first hour matters more than anything we do after. Here's exactly what to do before you reach us.
Do
- Power off the device immediately
- Remove the case and any screen protector
- Dry the exterior gently with a soft cloth
- Bring it to us within a few hours if possible
Don't
- Charge the phone or plug in any cable
- Use a hairdryer, oven, or any heat source
- Bury it in rice — it doesn't draw moisture from internal components and can leave dust in the ports
- Try opening the device yourself — you risk pushing moisture further into the board
